Products

 
BeFriender Ministry offers products, including training materials, that help support your local ministry. Workbooks for training lay ministry candidates are only $10 each. Supplementary products also are available. All products can be ordered online, by phone, or by fax.

Please allow at least 2 weeks for your order to be processed and shipped. (Allow 2 weeks for orders picked up at the national office, as well.)

      

Services

 

Customer service

For answers to brief, specific questions, contact the national office  by phone or by e-mail. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Consulting

Extended dialogue and interaction with a consultant from the national office is available. Consulting with program leaders from your church can be provided by phone or in person. In-person consulting with your entire BeFriender group also is available. Call for fees.

Facilitated retreats and other facilitated events

Individual churches or group of churches can contract with the national office for facilitated retreats and events. Call for fees and details.

    • Deepen understanding of the BeFriender Ministry Foundation principles

    • Understand how mutuality can enhance ministry

    •  Explore the connection between mutuality, ministry, and Making Meaning

    • Refresh participants' spirits for ministry

  •   NEW! Facilitator-for-a-Day. If the Making Meaning process is not going
      the way you hope or if your facilitators from the leadership team wants a fresh
      look at the process, a certified workshop leader from the national office will
      serve as the facilitator for one of your group's regular Making Meaning meetings.

  •  NEW! Energizing Your Leadership Team. Your team of Program Leaders
     
    will have an opportunity to reflect on their ministry as leaders, name what they
     have learned, determine what continues to inspire them and help them grow.
     Participants renew their call to ministry and experience community prayer.
     Leaders will have an opportunity to examine the benefits, strengths, and
     challenges of the program and create action steps for the future.

Training Network

NEW!  The Training Network is for those interested in conducting BeFriender candidate training with other churches. Many churches already co-train with other churches, and several groups of churches are forming clusters. Go to the Training Network to learn more. The service is currently being offered as a pilot.

Mentoring

Program leaders with limited experience in training or group facilitation can establish a mentor relationship with a consultant from the national office. The goal of a mentor relationship is to increase the program leader’s skill and confidence and empower the leader to train and facilitate on his or her own. Call for fees.

Customized training

On-site, customized training for BeFrienders or program leaders can be provided by a certified workshop leader from the national office on topics related to BeFriender Ministry. Call for fees.

Continuing education for lay ministers

GROW Trainer Guides for providing continuing education to BeFrienders can be ordered from the website. Each guide provides everything the leader needs to deliver the training including participant materials and masters of overheads. The guides are in PDF format and are delivered via e-mail.

Communication

The Monthly Ministry Motivator, the newsletter from the national office, is sent via e-mail. If we don't currently have your e-mail address, complete the online sign-up form to receive the the newsletter. Current and past issues are available in the archives.
