"Foundations for BeFriender Ministry"
A workshop for leaders

"Foundations for BeFriender Ministry" is a workshop for leaders who want to implement and maintain a listening ministry of lay pastoral care in their church, healthcare institution, or long-term care facility. The small size of this highly interactive workshop allows workshop leaders to address the specific needs and questions of participants.

2008 workshop fees

The first person from each leadership team pays the regular price $649, and others from that church/organization who attend the same workshop pay $499 per person.  (Fees may vary for workshops held outside the Twin Cities metro area.) In some situations, other discounts are available. Fees are subject to change for 2009 workshops.

Form a cluster of churches

The small size of some churches can make it more difficult to have a team of at least 2 program leaders or a group of at least 5 lay ministers. For these smaller churches, one option is to share a BeFriender Ministry program with a cluster of other small, nearby churches.

Host a workshop in your city

Hosting a workshop can save your leadership team travel time and expenses and help build a network of BeFriender program leaders in your community. A minimum of only 10 participants is needed.
